The Consolidated Public Retirement Board in Charleston is seeking an Executive Assistant to fill current vacancy. Under administrative direction, the Executive Assistant performs administrative and technical work at the advanced level in relation to agency goals, programs and general mission, examples include public relations, information dissemination, and multi program coordination. May also serve as general assistant to the Executive Director.
The Executive Assistant has considerable latitude to vary methods, procedures, and approaches to obtain desired results. Issues dealt with are often sensitive and confidential. May supervise technical, and/or clerical staff. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of the principles of administrative management and planning, as well as, knowledge of the organization and function of state government. The Executive Assistant is also responsible for taking minutes which serve as the official and legal record reflecting motions and votes for CPRB Trustee meetings.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four]year college or university and six years of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in administrative, professional, or technical capacity. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required training on a year for year basis. Graduate study in a related area may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.
