The Thrasher Group is seeking the following full-time positions in our Charleston, WV office location: UTILITY ENGINEER The selected candidate will become part of a team that provides design and consulting services to both public and private clientele. Applicant must have knowledge of civil engineering design practices and an understanding of the project development process. Candidate must possess the ability to prepare design calculations, drawings and specifications for water and wastewater systems, municipal water, sewer and storm water projects. The ability to manage project construction from inception to completion, review construction design contracts, prepare bids and review submittals and cost estimates is required. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering A minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience. Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong organization and time management skills. SURVEY PARTY CHIEF The selected individual will be responsible for field crew(s) as well as the operation of survey equipment, taking data collection, performing calculations and working with clients on projects. Experience in ALTA, Construction Stakeout and Boundary Surveys is highly desired. Qualifications: 1 Year of experience in surveying High School Diploma or its equivalent Experience with Trimble Survey Equipment is highly desired The ability to travel with the potential of being away from home. The ability to stand or walk over rugged terrain for an extended period of time. The ability to work in a variety of climate conditions including hot and cold weather is required. SURVEY TECHNICIAN Working under the direction of the Survey Crew Chief, the Survey Technician will assist with various types of land surveying & mapping including ALTA & Boundary Surveys, Construction Stakeouts for various types of projects for both private & public clientele. Qualifications: A high school diploma or its equivalent Previous experience as a survey technician is highly desired but is not required. The ability to work in a variety of climate conditions including hot and cold weather The ability to travel with the potential of being away from home.
